Taeyang at the 2014 SBS Gayo Daejun (141221)

SBS held their annual year end blowout and Taeyang was a solo performer for the first time since 2009. As if to make up for years of absence, SBS had him in 3 separate performances: for “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and in collaboration with Jeff Bernat for Jeff’s popular “Call You Mine” and with GDragon for their ongoing promotion for “Good Boy.” They also gave him an award for Best Male Solo.

I’ve always thought that Bigbang’s music is best experienced live and Good Boy is a prime example of that. BB’s live performances always draw you in to participate and the enthusiastic fans are a key part of what makes their concerts great.  In this particular case, the best way to enjoy Good Boy is just to give into the beat and get up and dance!

They brought down the house at this year’s MAMA and their Inkigayo comeback is a  lower key but fine follow up.  (Though admittedly, the spontaneity is lost when you have to perform the same thing upteen times for the recording. Not to mention SBS bizarre camera editing strikes again…)

GDragon x Taeyang in Paris Photobook – Preview Scans

The 300 page photobook chronicling Taeyang and G-Dragon’s much publicized trip to Paris during Men’s Fashion Week in February 2014 has been on preorder for a few days now and is finally being released this June 18. After nearly 4 years, Taeyang’s much awaited comeback. He performed “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and “Stay with Me” with best bud GDragon.

DOUBLE EDGE

In the middle of last January, GD and Taeyang arrived in Paris as soon as the 2014 F/W Mens Fashion Week started. Later, from the apartment in the streets of Champs-Élysées to Palais de Tokyo, to front row of Saint Laurent show. Photographers and fans and their Instagram from all around the world followed these two guys.
