Big Bang (sans TOP and Daesung) put in an appearance at the 2013 Gaon Awards. They actually walked the red carpet. GASP! In typical Big Bang fashion, they were not to be constricted to the normal suits and ties found at these events. From the all black attire with his seemingly favorite black leather pants, Taeyang debuted his new “scorpion” hair on the red carpet. With fun, fresh, and funky hair and fashion, as well as some crazy poses, it was nice to see him so comfortable. Taeyang was obviously being Taeyang, just having fun and enjoying himself.
A preppy set of Thom Browne clad Bad Boys took home a Bonsang at the High1 Seoul Music Awards. Congratulations! Too cute to be really bad, Big Bang turned in a relatively restrained performance of Bad Boy and Fantastic Baby.
Big Bang brought their signature style to the 2012 SBS Gayo Daejun with a rousing performance that had the crowd screaming. The boys had particular fun with a special shout out to absent YG Family member Psy with a Gangnam Style- Fantastic Baby mash-up. Playful, energetic, tongue-in-cheek humor and too cool for school swagger – it was definitely a Big Bang performance. (Fantastic Baby starts at 2:30s.)
Big Bang displayed their usual energy and looked like they were having fun. I loved that the attention was on the boys rather than the stage and lighting this time around. The outfit change really fit the song and made them stand out. (Relieved that TY doesn’t look worse for wear after the accident at the recording.) And love that little smile at the dance break.
