EasyFM, a Korean indie modern rock/pop/soul funk band, recently performed a mashup of Park Bom’s “You & I” and Taeyang’s “Look Only At Me.”
The five member band was formed in 2008 and is a frequent live performer in the Hongdae area of Seoul. Their first album called Woon Ul Te Da came out in 2010 (available here.)
Taeyang with his bandmates in Big Bang had started to really go all out with the promos for their new album Alive. They recently filmed an episode of Running Man and Taeyang talked about the experience. Big Bang also released a message on their youtube page about their new album as well as one on their new Global Cover Contest.
Tay Daddy (a.k.a Taeyang) tweeted a link to his cover of Beyonce’s Miss You – Frank Ocean’s version. It was posted on his own personal youtube account.
About the song, Taeyang wrote:
“I put this video up because i like this song.. hope you guys enjoy!!:) THANK YOU
Thank you J hyung for filming the video puhahahahah”
Famous Korean vocalist Wheesung and Kim Tae Woo covered Taeyang’s I Need A Girl during their August 12-13, 2011 joint concert titled “2011 Two Man Show – Soul Twins“. The cover really starts at the 1:15 mark.
From all reports, the July 15 Korean Music Wave in Singapore was a huge amount of fun. Big Bang was the final performer of the night and performed Tonight and Love Song and ended the whole set with Hands Up. Taeyang performed Where U At and I’ll Be There for his solo. (Seungri and GD & Top also did solo and duo performances.)

One thing I noticed was this features Taeyang focusing less on the choreography during performances and more on the vocals, which is something he has been focusing on all last year. Dancing is known as Taeyang’s forte, and what distinguish him from a lot of other artists, however he seems to be focusing on singing more and trying different singing techniques, which he showed on SOLAR.
