Big Bang’s Taeyang has been selected as the star the public expects the ‘sweetest proposal’ from.
Music portal, BUGS, conducted a poll from March 8th to the 21st asking, ‘which star is more likely to make the sweetest proposal?‘. They used Taeyang, Nickhun, Hyun Bin, Kim Su Hyun, Jung Yeob and Lee Hyun as the choices.
The survey involved a total of 2,546 voters and Taeyang received an overwhelming 50% (1,255 voters) of the votes, making him the #1 star people expect a romantic and sweet proposal from.

Post is loaded with goodies to commemorate Big Bang’s “epic” comeback. First off, the music video for “Tonight” – television version – below. Sources say this is just the television version, as the real version will be released later today. Personally, I’m just as pleased with this version! The L.A locals are captured beautifully with the refreshing pace of the song, and of course Big Bang looks amazing. Particularly our man, Taeyang =)
As some of you might know, the MNET MAMA 2010 Awards are around the corner and Mnet is holding a video contest to win tickets to the show. Various Kpop fans have been posting videos online to show their fan fevour however I gotta say, Taeyang fans are bringing their A-game (yeah, I’m a little biased!). Here are some AWESOME fan videos:

He’s up against some strong contenders and some new names so it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out. I don’t want to get my hopes up, since the last time I was very disappointed he didn’t get any of the major awards for LOAM. Though awards don’t make or break an artist, I do like to see him get recognition in the form of an award once in a while =)
So for the record, I’d like all those who doubted my Twilight notions to pay particular attention to 3:55 in the first video ~LOL. I called it =) Haha, I loved the making, the set is just incredible..a lot of time and effort was put into this, as with anything Taeyang does!

It’s always great to hear about how Taeyang influences people from different cultures and backgrounds and I had the pleasure of listening to a great Spanish version of “Wedding Dress” written by Fernando Cardo. I think its awesome and really captures the original mood of the song.
Here’s what Fernando had to say about this cover, Taeyang and kpop: My name is Fernando Cardo, I’m an R&B singer from Argentina and my next project will be to go to Europe to record my first solo album in 2011. Is my goal to represent R&B in Latin america so I’m always looking for info about other artists doing R&B around the world. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend I found about Taeyang through Youtube and when I wanted to know more about his bio and music I found “Always TaeYang”. I was really impressed by the quality of his work, just flawless in terms of production. I’ve had the opportunity to work on my career in USA and the truth is that Kpop is at the same level of the USA standard, and that’s a high quality standard. I really like Taeyang’s music and I can identify with his style: classy, sophisticated and current at the same time. So I decided to write spanish lyrics and make a cover of “Wedding Dress”.
