What a terrifically well done video! I love the surreal Beatle-esque spirit of the whole thing. SO much going on and all of it so interesting. It’s too bad that “If You” didn’t get a video as well. I wouldn’t even have minded footage of the recording process, just as long as we had some sort of visual.
I’m somewhat puzzled why TY seems to be channeling 90’s boy band hair throughout this promo but I have to admit it certainly adds a certain oomph to the songs when he whips it back and forth. And the dreads just takes it to the next level of crazy for this surreal video I guess. Let’s hope the next stop ends the experimentation at something both flattering and permanent. (I’m with the camp that doesn’t really need change for every song.)
The songs from the D Series are certainly not the usual Bigbang and will take a few more listens to get used to. It’s great that they are taking on more challenges outside of their usual comfort zone though – it’ll be interesting to see if fans and the public will like a different sort of music from them.
I’m really liking all the songs so far. Bang Bang Bang is still my favorite but Sober will probably be a close second. I don’t know what it is but that song makes me want to just dance around my room. And I agree these two songs are quite different from the usual Big Bang stuff which is a very nice surprise.
