Taeyang channels his inner hiphop Elvis in CL of 2ne1’s solo debut MV – the aptly named 나쁜 기집애 (“The Baddest Female”). (Which will probably eventually be nicknamed “GZB.”)
Together with GDragon, Teddy, Choice 37, 2ne1 stylist Yang Seungho, Monster Woo, Masta Wu, Lydia Paek, Madame Yulia and a host of CL’s other YG “oppas” and cool “unnies”, our energizer bunny and his paisley jumpsuit show some love for YG family member CL in a brief cameo. With a smile that wide and that ever-present dougie, Taeyang looked like he was happy to be at the party. (Either that or he forgot he was supposed to be part of a “dangerous posse” :). )

I really liked the MV – it’s very “CL” and solidifies her image as a stylish HBIC. I think the live performances are going to be super fun.
I’m on the fence about the song (which to me sounds a bit like the daughter of GD’s “One of A Kind” and “Crayon” or what would happen if Teddy produced for M.I.A.) but it is certainly hooky and has the advantage of being an easy sing-along for international fans.
As to YB, I certainly hope that’s the last we’ll see of these onesie outfits of his. He looked like a little kid in the video (and I don’t mean that in a bad way) rather than a scary thug. I kind of wanted to pat him on the head and give him a cookie.
MV screams “CL” and I like it, the choreography looks easy and fun to dance to, so the live performances would be something to look out for.

Our little Energizer Bunny. He was so cute. I love how he’s either hopping up and down in the background or being the only one sitting down, just so he can be seen. Our little shorty. Lol
CL’s style was on point. Definitely loved that.
On the first listen, I felt like it was too much like a female version of OOAK. I was slightly disappointed. there seemed to be some oomph that it was missing,
But I couldn’t write it off since I felt like it would be a grower. And it definitely was. Listened to it again when I woke up and I actually liked it. I’m curious to see how the rest of the album is.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who thought YB looked too cute to be scary haha. Still loved how much fun he seemed to be having.
Really liked the mv, but I think the song is going to have to grow on me too. Might have to listen to it a few times before I start to really like it.
I agree about the onesie, but I also have to say that I don’t think GD should wear hot pants ever again 😉
Our YB has to be the cutest bad boy I’ve ever seen ;). I love that he was the only bad boy smiling haha! He was just adorable and it made me smile while watching him singing along, gesturing towards CL giving her props and just happily bopping away. I love this boy you don’t understand lol ♥
The MV is greater than the song in my opinion, but it kind of grows on you. It has really catchy hooks so I can imagine it being popular for that reason. To add to that, CL looked really pretty in all her different looks 🙂
